Connecticut School Shooting

All I can think of--all most of us can think of now--are the shootings in that elementary school in Connecticut.    Here is the NYTimes story.  One comment was especially poignant.  It brought tears to my eyes:

  • jack s.
  • new jersey
NYT Pick
An entire kindergarten class apparently unaccounted for. Kindergartners. They sit on little chairs, at little tables, with name cards above the hanger for their coats. They have a corner of the classroom with a rug and books laid out for storytime. Do they still take naps?

They're just getting used to this school thing, most of them probably miss their moms during the day.

The shame of our society and this awful gun culture and the lunatics who defend it. These are our children.
