Stress, Exercise, and Reading

The NYTimes has an article here explaining how exercise helps reduce stress in  children.

I think one of the reasons kids are feeling so much stress, that they need exercise to help alleviate, is what’s happened with education—the canned curriculum and endless testing.  Giving kids more choices in how, what, and when they learn would result in more productive, happier and more stress-free kids.

Just letting kids choose most of their own books to read would be a huge stress-reliever—and greatly increase reading scores.
